In contrast, incandescent explosion-proof lights usually use alternating current at a safe voltage. An alternating current of 10mA and a direct current of 50mA pose a risk to the human body. Calculating with a human body resistance of 1200 ohms, the safe voltage is 12V for AC and 60V for DC. Therefore, at equivalent voltage or current, LED explosion-proof lights are safer. Moreover, low-voltage DC hardly produces electrical sparks, while AC is more likely to do so, making LED explosion-proof lights a safer choice.
