Explosion-proof lights typically use metal halide lamps with built-in compensation for waterproofing. It’s important to note that explosion-proof fixtures must use the original light source and not be fitted with LED sources by oneself.
The operating temperature of the fixture is different from the highest temperature of the light body. If you want to control the maximum temperature of the outer casing, then you must choose an LED source with a lower temperature.
Generally, as long as metal halide and high-pressure sodium lamps do not exceed a power of 400W, a T4 or T3 classification is sufficient.
