Why Do Explosion-Proof Light Bulbs Break Easily

1. Is the bulb gas or incandescent? Incandescent bulbs do not have a long lifespan, especially in the harsh environments of oilfield explosion-proof lights, where they often fail. However, the lifespan of bulbs can be extended if metal halide or high-pressure sodium lights are used. Particularly, bulbs from Philips and Osram last longer, generally more than two years.

2. Beyond the type and brand of the bulb, the overall design structure is crucial. Some manufacturers produce low-quality explosion-proof lights without proper heat dissipation systems, leading to bulbs burning out quickly.
