According to the National Mine Product Safety Mark Center, products that have acquired the safety mark are required to undergo renewal upon the expiry of their validity period.
Failure to renew a product’s certificate results in its automatic invalidation. As a consequence, mining products with expired coal safety marks are not permitted for use.
It’s also worth noting that the coal safety certificate is often interpreted as defining the manufacturing rights and duration granted to the manufacturer, rather than stipulating the usage rights of the end-user post-purchase.
