Explosion-proof Requirements for Spray Painting Rooms

Fire and Explosion-proof Requirements

The following requirements for fire prevention and explosion protection in paint and spray painting rooms are explicitly specified to ensure industrial safety.

  1. Fire warning signs must be clearly set up in paint and spray painting rooms. Open flames used for heating must be strictly prohibited in these areas.
  2. All indoor electrical appliances, machinery, power lines, and lighting circuits must be ensured to comply with fire and explosion-proof requirements. Exhaust and supply ventilation devices must be installed in the rooms. Explosion-proof type ventilators must be adopted, or aluminum lining plates must be installed inside the ventilator housing.
  3. Indoor temperature and dust concentration (in woodworking workshops) must be strictly controlled. The concentration of toxic and combustible vapors inside the paint workshop must be rigorously regulated.
  4. Large quantities of paints and thinners should not be stored indoors. Electric heating ovens used for drying must be isolated from the spray painting room, and the heating elements of the drying oven must not be exposed. Painted workpieces must first be naturally dried and evaporated in the ambient air for a period before being placed into the drying oven.
