Db: The letter “d” represents a flameproof enclosure, and “b” indicates a high protection level. For the flameproof type, it is ensured that flames and explosion products are not propagated to the external atmosphere through the equipment’s joint surfaces when an internal explosion occurs. The Db equipment protection level is permitted to be utilized in Zone 21 and Zone 22.
